Quality Analyst

About the Role

📍 Location: Borivali, Mumbai (Work From Office)

⚠️ Note: This position is open only to candidates based in Mumbai or nearby locations who are comfortable with Work From Office requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and UI testing for web and/or mobile applications.

• Develop, execute, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.

• Build and enhance reusable automation components and contribute to automation framework improvements.

• Identify suitable test cases for automation and improve regression test coverage.

• Perform API testing, backend validation, and database testing to ensure end-to-end application quality.

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.

• Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams to identify quality risks and resolve technical issues.

• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, test strategy discussions, and release readiness reviews.

• Support automation execution within CI/CD pipelines and analyze test execution results.

• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring defects and recommend improvements to QA processes.

• Support UAT, production release validation, and post-release testing activities.

• Guide junior QA team members on testing methodologies, test case design, and automation best practices.

• Explore AI-assisted testing approaches to improve test coverage, test data generation, defect analysis, and testing efficiency.

Required Skills (Must Have)

• 4–6 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.

• Strong hands-on experience in both Manual and Automation Testing.

• Practical experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.

• Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.

• Experience working with automation frameworks, reusable test components, and automated regression suites.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, and software testing methodologies.

• Experience in functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.

• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.

• Working knowledge of SQL queries and database validation.

• Experience with defect-tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.

• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Ability to independently plan, execute, and manage testing activities.

• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
